Castle of Mey

A 16th century castle with fantastic views over the Pentland Firth.  It was built by George, 4th earl of Caithness.  The castle was bought by H.M. Queen Mother in 1953.  The castle is a private residence and not open to the public.

The castle gardens are open to the public from time to time to raise funds for charities.  The castle itself is not open to the public.
