Mairi Nicolson Returns To Antarctic

Camping In Antarctica January 2003
Mairi has been camping out as she gets around to carry out her work.  Her travel is a bit more exiting than the car, bus or train that most of us are used to.  skiing to and from work or flying in a Twin Otter plan with skis to get to farther out places to check up on things,  get samples, make repairs and ensure equipment is working.

Return To Antarctic via Falkland Islands November 2002
Mairi Nicolson from Wick, Caithness returned to the UK after a fire destroyed a lab at Rothera Base where she was working.  Now she has returned via the Falkland Islands.
