West Caithness Community Transport

West Caithness Community Transport operates a 13 seater (including driver) minibus based in Thurso but for use anywhere.

The office bearers currently are -
Chair Ronnie Johnstone, Thurso West Manse, 23 Thorkel Road, Thurso
Treasurer , Tom Jackson, 15 Upper Burnside Avenue, Thurso
Secretary, Jean MacLennan, 31 Whitehouse Park, Wick

The bus is available to any non profit making organisation in the area subject to
1. Joining WCCT (membership £1 per annum)
2. Using a MIDAS (equivalent of PSV but for a minibus) trained driver. We will train up to two drivers per organisation free of charge.
3. Paying the charges and abiding by the conditions for use (conditions designed to ensure that the bus is looked after i.e. no offroad use)

Note
If you are elderly or disabled and live in The Highlands you may qualify for the Highland Council Travel Card Scheme giving you half price travel on buses and trains etc.  If you are registered blind you may qualify for free travel.  If you require a companion to go with you they may also qualify for half price travel.
