Welcome to The Salvation
Army in Wick We have been in this community for nearly 125 years, but today, with our busy youth, ladies and over sixties clubs along with vibrant and engaging worship services, we are as active as ever. Our leaders, Captains Andrew & Tracy Clark are involved in many aspects of the community, especially with the local schools where children of primary school age will meet them frequently through assemblies and other activities. The Captains arrived in Wick in July 2007 to develop the work of the Army in the town. You will also find Captain Andrew in any one of Wick's public houses on a Saturday night where he will be pleased to have a chat or provide a listening ear as he passes by with the sale of The Salvation Army's newspaper, the War Cry. Our work is a strong combination of practical and spiritual, seeking to meet needs on all fronts. Members of The Salvation Army in Wick are regular people, many of who have been born and brought up in Wick, who have chosen to profess Jesus Christ as Lord and express their membership of His church through their involvement with The Salvation Army. Our Sunday services are lively and welcoming, containing challenging and relevant insights from the pages of the Bible for our lives today. Our meetings are, however, open to all. You will be made most welcome at any of our weekly events, but if there is any other way we can be of assistance to you, please contact our Corps Officers (leaders) Captains Andrew or Tracy Clark on 01955 602821 or email wick.corps@salvationarmy.org.uk Thank you for visiting the Wick Salvation Army pages at caithness.org. For our main website (still being developed), please visit http://www.salvationarmy.org.uk/wick . God bless you. |
