‘Bologna Bound!’

The world premiere of the short documentary film ‘Bologna Bound’ is being held at the All Star Factory, Ormlie Road, Thurso, on Wednesday 20th August from 4.45 – 5.45pm.

This film documents the recent visit to the ‘Kids for Kids’ international film festival held in Bologna, Italy, by a group of young people from Thurso whose film ‘Homeward Bound’ was short listed for an award. That film was made with support from the Highland Wellbeing Alliance Social Inclusion Programme to reflect the theme of ‘Scotched Myths’ – young people setting out to debunk the myths of Scotland on film, and was one of six made throughout Scotland by groups of young people.

The documentary follows the young people, recording their reactions to, and thoughts about, Bologna and the festival over the course of their visit.

The original ‘Homeward Bound’ film will also receive another airing, as will a surprise supporting feature and a short presentation by the young people who travelled to Italy.

An open invitation is extended to all those parties interested in attending.
