Central Church Lybster
Disabled Access Lybster Central Church

Recent legislation has meant that many public buildings, shops and other businesses have had to re-think their accessibility for the disabled. Lybster Central Church has tackled the problem with funds raised mainly by the congregation and with the greatly appreciated assistance of £150 from the Appeals & Donations Committee of UKAEA.

There is now a ramped access to all doors of the Kirk and this will be of great benefit to, not only members of the congregation, but the wider public as they attend weddings, funerals and other public events such as the recent Remembrance Sunday service and the forthcoming Christmas Watch Night Service.

The facilities were officially declared open by 86 year old Mr George Sutherland ably assisted by Ms Margaret Gunn. Deacon John Craw conducted a short service of dedication prior to the cutting of the opening ribbon.
