Present Vice-Convener of the Caithness Area of the Highland Council and
Chairman of the Dounreay Stakeholder Group, representing the community on
all matters relating to the Dounreay site.PRIORITIES
- To use my extensive experience of local government to
make the new system work effectively and provide a local service
delivery.
- To ensure that the Highland Council continues to play
a full part in helping to balance the job reductions at Dounreay.
- To continue to represent the community interest on
the Dounreay Stakeholder Group.
- To seek improved funding for local services,
particularly the roads network.
- To support and promote the foundation industries of
Agriculture and Tourism.
- To use the position to highlight the advantages of
life and work within the Caithness area.
