This exhibition represents not only the first 'one man' show for local artist Julian Smith, but also the launch of 'Artsmith' ­ a brand name which is sure to become synonymous with strong design and colour in Caithness painting.

The exhibition features a selection of original works produced in 2002/3 from which a range of superb art prints have been taken.  These highly collectable editions are produced to Fine Art Trade Guild Standards.

In addition, a unique and exciting introduction to the exhibition, merges traditional and contemporary disciplines in a short animated presentation.  The concept is simple.  'Moving images', and by definition time,  provides another level of involvement for the audience, artistically opening up a whole new world.               
Artsmith images capture the moment, whether in works based on historical Caithness lifestyles, the wildlife of the area, or using the continuous inspiration of sea and sky.
