Another 50 Jobs For Wick As CASE Signs New Call Centre Deal
Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise (CASE) has successfully clinched a deal to create up to 50 jobs in Wick. A development grant of £487,900 will enable ViewPoint Systems (Scotland) Ltd to establish a contact centre in premises on Wick Business Park.

Tim Brighton, ViewPoint's commercial director, commented: "We are delighted to be bringing 50 jobs to Wick. The help and support we received from Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise was instrumental in our decision to open our centre on Wick Business Park. The recruitment process has begun and we are impressed with the quality and range of skills available. We look forward to getting the project up and running as soon as possible and to a successful long term future in Wick"

This is an example of a company taking advantage of the Broadband connections now available at Wick and shows that new types of business may be able to come to the area.

According to Carroll Buxton, chief executive of Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise (CASE), “This is a significant development for the town and the wider area. One of the key factors which enabled us to attract ViewPoint Systems to Wick was the availability of the high quality offices on Wick Business Park, which fully met with the requirements of the client both in terms of specifications and the timescale they had for establishing the business. This will, I am sure, be a catalyst for further developments on the business park.”

CASE is also in the process of finalising a lease with NHS Highland for a building on Plot 8 of the business park while another advance office on Plot 2 is nearing completion.
