Walks - With Gordon Wilson

Walks In Caithness Site Map

Geography

Gordon Wilson has for many years walk the remote places of the north including Caithness, Sutherland and elsewhere.  He has studied history, archaeology and related topics and walked the ground near many of the well known and lesser known sites.  Bringing to bear his accumulated knowledge he has his own theories and suggestions to make on many of the sites he has visited.

A long time member of Caithness Field Club he leads many of the walks for the Field Club or is on hand at others to give everyone the benefit of his research and knowledge.  We are delighted to be able to begin a series of articles from Gordon consisting of his thoughts and many notes on areas he has visited over the years.

The articles cover walks with much useful information for making visits.  And their are historical articles as well as snippets of information for the walker or casual historian.  They contain much detailed information with many comments and asides from Gordon.  We will link the articles from suitable places in different parts of the web site such as history etc as well as in this index of his writing.
