Many books are now available online with full texts and
in many cases searchable. The term "public domain" refers to works
not protected by copyright and normally means anything published before
1923. Most classic works are already online and many new books
appear each week. the arguments about ebooks replacing the
paper version will go on but most folk will use both reading the paper
version but using the ebook versions online for study and looking up those
niggling little points. You will need Adobe's Acrobat
Reader to read many of the books. You can download a version here -
