Falkland Palace Gardens, Fife
Set in a unique medieval village in the heart of Kingdom of Fife, The Royal Palace of Falkland is the perfect location for a garden wedding or a summer day out. The former hunting lodge of eight Stuart monarchs is surrounded by beautiful lush gardens, designed and built by Percy Cane between 1947 and 1952. Or if you'd prefer a castle built in the 1500s, the turreted palace is a fine example of Renaissance architecture. Situated in the south western tip of the country, Logan is one of Scotland's most exotic gardens. A remarkable collection of bizarre and beautiful plants flourish here thanks to the influence from the nearby Gulf Stream. Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
Just minutes from the centre of the Scottish capital, the Royal Botanic Garden lies in the heart of Edinburgh. Established more than 400 years ago it was originally founded as a physic garden. The gardens glasshouses feature Britain's tallest Palm tree and you can see some of the world's oldest plants in the Orchid and Cycad House. Edinburgh's most famous tropical rainforest, the Tropical Aquatic House, displays well-known and economically important plants, including bananas and rubber, as well as some familiar houseplants. This is the perfect place to take the apple of your eye!
