a) Overall there were 89 female candidates out of 407, 21.9%

b) There are just 11 Scottish Female MPs out of 72, 15.3%

(Whereas the Scottish Parliament has 37.2% female MSPs)

c) Only two parties have female MPs: 'The Labour Party' - 10 and

'Scottish National Party' - 1

d) Of all the parties standing in Scotland the 'Scottish Socialist

Party' fielded the highest total number of female candidates - 23.

e) Two Parties were 100% represented by women 'Legalise Cannabis

Alliance' - 2 and 'The Rock 'N' Roll Loony Party' - 1

f) Of the 'major' UK parties the 'Liberal Democrats' fielded the most

female candidates - 17...but did not return a single female MP in

Scotland.

g) 'The Labour Party' has the highest number of female MPs - 10 out

of 56, 17.9% of their MPs

h) The 'Scottish National Party' has the highest percentage of

elected MPs female - 20%

i) Around two thirds of all 'The Labour Party' female candidates were

elected (compared to just 6.2% of 'Scottish National Party'

candidates).
