Places To Stay in Caithness

        Caithness Pub Guide
      Old Smiddy Inn, Thrumster

The Old Smiddy Inn can provide a relaxing couple of hours to have a drink and some grub.
Surrounded by old blacksmith tools and articles from the days of work horses you can relax by the coal fire which made a warm welcome when we visited on 25th February 2001.

Occasionally there is music organised but in the summer it is likely to be an impromptu tune from a local and so cannot be guaranteed.  Check the What's On to see if anything is scheduled though the summer.

Thrumster is a small village four miles out of Wick and if coming from the south it sits on the right hand side of the main road right on the corner.  You cannot miss it.
