The unusual Salt-Fired Pottery is fired in this outdoor kiln often using kelp as a source of salt and fuel in the firing thus embuing the pots with the saltiness of the sea itself. The pottery is in an old mill not used for many years.  Jenny has now restored much of the building and several features such as the pond around the mill can still be seen.

North Shore Pottery is located near Latheron on the A9 heading north to Wick.
