The Olrig & District Beekeepers Association meets roughly once a month.  In Summer we have demonstrations.
Our members are a repository of  many years of accumulated knowledge on bee keeping.
We can offer advice to new beekeepers and members can use our extracting equipment.

For further information on our activities, contact club secretary.

Affiliated to the Scottish Beekeeping Association.

Varroa Checks
In order to check that Caithness is still Varroa free, please could all beekeepers in Caithness
send Spring floorboard scrapings so that they can be checked for Varroa.
The envelope of scrapings should be clearly marked
“Bee Diseases” and sent to SASA (Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture) :-
