Are There Ongoing Problems with Disappearing Telephone Boxes
Film Makers Want Your Help To Make Short Documentary about Disappearing Telephone Boxes
Anna Jones and colleagues from the National Film and TV School are making a short documentary about disappearing telephone boxes.  They would be interested to hear from any local communities in Caithness where there are seen to be problems regarding the removal of a particular kiosk.  They intend to visit the area to shoot some film of phone boxes and would like to interview local people who have had problems or will have after removal.  If you would like to help contact Anna Jones email anna.jones@zoom.co.uk

BT Telephone Kiosks  - Another Rural Downgrading?
Well we never thought the phones around the countryside would disappear as they have been there for so long.  Bill started the quirky section to show you round the area and now many of them may disappear before Bill gets to them.  He is on the case and is snapping more every day if he passes them.  Over the next couple of weeks Bill will try to reach a few more before they disappear for ever unless saved by people contact BT via the planning officer at Highland Council in Inverness with reasons why they should be kept.  Highland council has nothing to do with the removal but is acting to co-ordinate the responses to BT.  Make sure you let them know about valid reasons  - not generalisations.  Be specific if you know something that might affect the retention.  Could be poor mobile phone reception area.  You only have until 1 October unless they extend the deadline.  Extended till 22 October 2004

Telephone Boxes are to be found in many places and some are in very beautiful and isolated spots whilst others are in streets or shopping centres.  Here we will take a look at a few as we roam around.  In no particular order - just as the whim takes us...............
Just choose a telephone and see where you end up.....................................
